one of the things they tell you is to remove the black plastic trim piece around the tow hook area. unnessessary. I removed one side then saw that the new bracket would still fit and ended up putting it back. it was hard to put back after the bracket was there. the other side i didnt undo and the bracket just went in all nice and proper.
a thing they DONT tell you is to pull down the front side wheel well plastic liner and get it out of your way - its 8mm and only 5 screws per side. worth the 3 minutes to pull it away so you have more work room.
a place where their instructions say use one of their bolts thru a stock mounting hole thru the front bumper supports - it doesnt fit. I guess it maybe fits on the old body style but not the new ones. i ended up using the OEM hardware for this one location.
they DO tell you to reuse a 'body bolt' that is OEM for the tow hook. They tell you it has a keeper washer on it and put a wrench on it and tap it downwards with a hammer to pull the keeper out.
what they DONT tell you is this bolt is like a foot long and you need to hammer the **** out of it to make it let go:
