Towing 15 miles will tell you little on actual mpg imho. I tow 7k# enclosed car hauler 10k+ miles yearly and average 10 mpg @ 65-67. Towing uphill or into the wind will reduce mileage. 3.92, non-etorque
I’ve been following several rear window leak threads and I figured my 2022 would have this window leak problem at some point towing 7k# enclosed car hauler 60% of the time. Yep, last week with 33k miles and 30 months old a small leak started that runs down the window on the passenger side tight...
I’ve been following this rear window leak thread since it started and some others as well and I figured my 2022 would have this window leak problem at some point towing 7k# enclosed car hauler 60% of the time. Yep, last week with 33k miles and 30 months old a small leak started that runs down...
Good video. Too bad this guy didn’t put a feeler gauge to some of the plugs he removed to determine the amount of wear and show it in the video. My bet is that the factory plugs will easily go 150+k miles.
On my 2011 Ram Hemi that came with 30k standard plugs, at 60k miles, I replaced with...
When the DTE indicates 50 mi/ 80 km the fuel low displays and I believe it’s using the present estimated mpg as the indicator. It’s generous to keep one from running out of fuel. One can easily run it to the point where it indicates “Unknown DTE” display and it’ll still have a couple of gallons...
This was a good video posted of the 1st time 2025 Tradesman + Laramie Towing. Liked the Laramie as it’s comparable to what I use now for towing and think the SO engine is a good fit. That back up option should be dropped from the truck. If you don’t know how to back up a trailer you shouldn’t be...
Bring back the all plastic front cover of the 2009 + Ram Sport model…. My Favorite. Stone chips didn’t affect it, easy to clean and looked good as well. I’d like to see one on a Laramie. Metal front bumpers are rust magnets. I’m old and not a chrome guy. Tungsten is not what I want or need.
The 5.7 Hemi is 395 hp / 410 lb-ft, and the Hurricane SO is 420 hp / 469 lb-ft. That is a definite upgrade and I believe significant when towing. That’s almost as much torque as the 3.0 diesel @ 480 lb-ft.
I don’t have a problem with the oil weight recommendations and follow it in my Hemi Ram as well as my other vehicles. Pick your favorite weight/ brand and use it.
I do have a problem with the oil life minder that they recommend following for oil change frequency. It’s a sure way to engine...
I’m looking at the 2025 and need tow mirrors to see around a 8.5’ wide trailer. WTH did they do to the fold up / down tow mirrors that were on Rams from 2009? These new tow mirrors look like something off a Ferd or Cheby. How obnoxious to have to look at/ around this when not towing. This isn’t...
I agree with following a GMC forum which I did. I wanted their 6.2 Sierra 1500, but reading about all the early rod failures isn’t encouraging. Their interiors and ride are less than the Rams. They have similar problems like other truck manufacturers.
As for 5.7 Hemi lifters, they can fail at...
^^^^^^ If the exhaust manifold lasted this long without failing, good chance will not fail in future. I replaced broken studs on both sides of my previous 2011 Hemi Ram @ 90k and 110K. I too purchased the 7 / 100 warranty for my 2022 and considering truck replacement when expired this time.
