Seriously, that's your representation of how 1500's are used?
Lots of trees down here after the tuesday 70-80mph straight line winds, the dump/tree clippings drop off station was full of 1/2 and 3/4 tons loaded with broken trees
That's a 50ft lb tq deficit down low in the 5.0, you don't think that's significant? The 5.0 doesn't catch up till 3000 rpm, most truck that tow or are loaded down, since that's what many keep bringing up, need as much to as possible off idle and before 2500 rpm.
Theres some that have posted...
Based on the number of empty ot lightly loaded 1500s I pass on the road, I'd say you're incorrect about that.
Now, of the owners that heavily load their trucks, you may be correct but the vast majority of 1500s aren't heavily loaded.
I had a 20' tree get blown in the storms Tuesday morning. I...
I bet it drives better in the higher elevations too. I like the HEMI but it needed a major mid range torque boost and I bet your hurricane delivers exactly that
He can compare because he previously had a hemi truck. His comparison would be the ultimate comarison due to the fact that some variables can be excluded.
Same driver
Same driving style
Excat same route
Multile years prior expirence with hemi powered truck over the same route
Same or very...
Not only that, their other problem is their main selling cars are all v8s. Their low emissions vehicles don't sell, The new hornet is an example of that.
Ford sells a lot of cars other than their V8 mustangs and V8 trucks, they can afford emissions wise to keep the v8s while Dodge simply cannot...
That's open for debate and time will surely tell but the simple fact is that the hemi is indeed gone.
This is typical of dodge throughout their existence, never changing or continuing to innovate. Look how long the LA engines hung around.
GM has developed the LS and now moved to the LT line in...
Fuel economy isn't the same thing as miles per gallon.
An engine making more power with the same fuel consumption of a lower power engine is more fuel efficient, ergo, economy.
Notice that I specifically did not say MPG. Another swing and a miss.
As for staying away from this thread, you...
No, no one expects that and you stated your opinion. Here's where it turns; you continue to spend time in a thread about people wanting to buy the new truck/engine trying to tell them why the new engine is already a failure while spouting BS that exposes your clear lack of understanding on how...
